An initial consultation with myself will cost £95, and if indicated,
a biometry will cost £35. These costs and the costs of cataract
surgery at the BUPA Murrayfield Hospital are usually fully refundable
if a patient has medical insurance.
For non-insured patients, the BUPA Murrayfied Hospital operate a "fixed-price"
scheme for the actual cataract surgery, and full details are available

At present, this cost is £2,850, payable on admission, and this
covers all the hospital costs including a one night stay (and an extra
night if medically required), and the fees of both the surgeon and the
anaesthetist (even if the surgery is done under local anaesthesia I
always have an anaesthetist looking after the patient, so that I can
focus my attention fully on the surgery).
